Ashoke Rawal is a senior film and television professional with over 50 years of experience in the media industry. Accredited by the Press Information Bureau as a video journalist, he served Doordarshan for eight years and has since produced, directed and worked as Director of Photography on more than 600 films. His body of work spans telefilms, TV serials, news & current affairs programs, documentaries and promotional films for Doordarshan, private television channels, Central and State Governments, public and private organizations and national and international NGOs. His films have earned Gold and Silver Medals, a Shawl of Honour, parliamentary appreciation and the Punjabi Film Award (PTC Channel, 2022).
